Climate Change in Cambodia
|
It is said that When a butterfly flaps its wings in one part of the world it can cause a hurricane in another part of the world. Maybe not so literally, but this can be seen with climate change. The top two carbon dioxide producers in the world are China and the USA. Together they are responsible for 44% of the carbon emissions. But what is worse is that the effects are actually happening in other countries like Cambodia.
The biggest problem is that nothing is being done about it. According to this scientific study, the US may not even be running fully on renewable energy by 2050. This is quite alarming as climate change is 'unprecedented' by 2050 based on this research. |
A further look into climate change in Cambodia. |
There are three major steps in stopping climate change;
Across the world we have identified that climate change is an issue. But we haven't even tried to manage climate change let alone stop it. With governments becoming more and more powerful, it is becoming incresingly harder to fight against them. This is proven very easily as the the biggest two governments are also the biggest two carbon emitters in the world. These are China and the USA. It is time that we step up, speak up and say NO to these Governments. |
